   MARCEL PROUST (1871 - 1922) French Author. Autograph letter signed to Susan Lawrence. Letter written after being successfull in the Goncourt Awards for "A l'ombre des jeunes filles en fleurs". Proust declined an invitation for the daughter's wedding of Madam Lawrence. In the guest's list he saw the name of General de Brantes who was Madam de Brantes's son.
