Joan Crawford typed letter signed to a fan, with her additional handwritten postscript signed. Dated 19 June 1961, letter was composed on Crawford's personal stationery just before filming her acclaimed 1962 drama''What Ever Happened to Baby Jane? The children and I send our very warmest good wishes... There has been a light delay in writing my autobiography, but we are improving the book... The tentative title is'Portrait of Joan'. I'm so happy that you saw [daughter] Christina on'Here's Hollywood'. She had such fun doing that show, and I thought she looked lovely. I don't believe I will be in'Toys in The Attic'.

I would like to spend the summer with my children, so I probably will not make a film until the fall... I hope you have a rapid recovery.
